Cash, the Bank and Gold Bars: where each comes from, where it goes, and how your Bases keep the money coming in.

Cash, the Bank and Gold Bars

Everything in Global Conflict is paid for with one of two currencies, and the top of the screen shows both at all times:

Earning and losing Cash

Cash comes from almost everything you do:

Two things take Cash on hand away: losing a fight, which hands the winner part of what you carry (more if you are killed), and upkeep on your Armory gear. The battle result shows exactly how much changed hands.

The Bank

The 10% fee is the price of safety. Bank what you are saving towards, and carry only what you are about to spend.

Gold Bars

Gold Bars come in small amounts from playing:

They are spent on the Black Market's Illegal Goods and services (Tactic Points, passive tactic points and Cash Packs), on Keys, on Ammo and Energy Crates, on Mercenaries, and on founding a clan. Every price is shown before you pay.

Income and upkeep

Income is Cash your Bases produce every hour. It does not go straight into your pocket: it builds up on the Bases screen until you press Collect, and the pool holds at most 12 hours of it. After that it stops filling, so collect at least twice a day.

Upkeep is the hourly cost of the gear you own from the Armory. Every Armory item shows its upkeep before you buy it, and Bases cost no upkeep at all. Upkeep is paid out of your Income first. If your Income cannot cover it, the rest comes out of your Cash on hand, down to nothing (never into debt, and never from the Bank). When that happens the Bases screen warns you that upkeep is eating your income.

The bar at the top of the Bases and Armory screens shows your hourly Income and upkeep side by side. During Boot Camp your Bases produce twice the Income while upkeep stays the same, and a clan's Doctrine can raise Income and cut Armory upkeep for its members.

Land and Bases

A Base needs a plot of land to stand on. You start with room for two plots, and the Bases screen sells more slots as you level up, two at a time. Each type of land has a fixed price and unlocks at a level:

Land plots: the price is the same however many you own.
NamePriceUnlocks at level
Plains$50.00k1
Urban Lot$2.00M15
Industrial Zone$8.00M25
Coastal Plot$40.00M50
Mountain Claim$300.00M68

Each plot holds one Base, and each Base can only be built on certain land. Bigger Bases cost more, unlock later and need the more expensive land, but produce far more Income:

Bases at level 1, for a player outside a clan. Boot Camp doubles the income.

The Treasury and Cash Packs

The Black Market's Treasury turns Gold Bars into Cash. A Cash Pack costs 150, 250 or 2,000 GB and pays a lump sum that grows with your level and your hourly Income. Each pack shows what it would pay you before you buy.

Keys

Keys change choices you have already made. Every account starts with one of each, and more are bought with Gold Bars in the Black Market:

Your Keys are in the Armory's Keys tab; tap one to use it.
