Update 1.4.0 is live. This one is built around the Black Market: the Illegal Goods catalog has been torn out and rebuilt, and there is now a fast way to get back into the fight when your Energy runs dry. There is also a change to Daily and Weekly Tasks that we want to be upfront about, so read to the end.
The Illegal Goods Overhaul
The six placeholder items that have been sitting in the Black Market since launch are gone. They have been removed from the catalog and from every account that owned them, without a refund. They were always temporary stand-ins with placeholder stats, and leaving them in the game any longer would have meant balancing around gear we never intended to keep.
In their place: twenty new Illegal Goods, ten weapons and ten vehicles, priced between 10 and 50 Gold. Every vehicle type is represented, and the attack and defence profiles vary deliberately, so the expensive item is not simply the better item. A cheap piece with a lopsided defence rating may serve your build better than a costly all-rounder.
Two rules changed alongside the catalog. The level requirement is gone entirely, so Illegal Goods can be bought at any level. To keep that from turning into an arms race, ownership is capped at five copies per item.
Energy Crates
Running out of Energy mid-session has always meant waiting. Now it does not have to. The Energy Crate refills your Energy instantly for 15 Gold, mirroring the Ammo Crate you already know.
You will find it in the Black Market under CRATES, or you can skip the trip and tap your Energy stat directly. If you are already at full Energy, the purchase is refused rather than quietly taking your Gold.
Strike Back
Revenge used to rely on a text hint that was easy to miss. Now, any combat log entry where you were the one attacked carries an explicit STRIKE BACK button.
It takes you straight to the attacker's profile. The 48-hour revenge window does the rest: for two days after an attack, you can hit back even if that commander sits outside your normal level range. Someone punching down on you does not get to walk away from it.
A Home for Your Illegal Gear
The Armory has a new Illegal Gear sub-tab, sitting between Vehicles and Upgrades, showing every Illegal Good you currently own in one place.
It is a view-and-sell screen. Buying still happens in the Black Market, but selling now happens here, and it refunds 50% of the item's Gold price. That is a deliberately better rate than the 30% you get back on standard Cash items, because Illegal Goods cost Gold in the first place.
Bulk-Buying Power-Ups
Stocking up on power-ups no longer means tapping the same card over and over. Tapping a power-up now opens a quantity selector.
Power-up prices climb as you own more of an item, which makes the total for a large order genuinely hard to work out in your head. The selector does that maths for you and shows the running total before you commit, so there are no surprises at checkout.
Daily and Weekly Tasks Are Harder
We increased task targets by roughly 50% across the board. Win 3 PvP Attacks is now Win 5. Campaign Push moved from 20 missions to 30. The weekly anchor task went from 15 daily completions to 23.
Rewards have not changed, which means this is straightforwardly a tougher grind for the same payout. We made the call because tasks were being cleared almost incidentally, well before the day was over, and a daily objective that completes itself is not really an objective. Tasks already assigned to you keep their old targets until the next reset, so nothing you are partway through gets moved.
This is the change most likely to be divisive, and we would rather hear about it than not. If it has overshot, tell us.
Getting the Update
Update to client 1.4.0 to see the new screens. There is no forced update, so the game will keep working if you hold off, but the new tabs and buttons will not appear until you do.
