Global Conflict is made by a small independent team. This page tells you plainly what the game is, how players talk to each other, and what we can and cannot do to keep that safe.
1. What Global Conflict Is
Global Conflict is a war strategy game played online with other people. Players build up a base, run missions and attack each other's accounts to climb leaderboards. It is played on mobile devices and in a web browser, and it needs an internet connection.
The game is for players aged 13 and over. We ask for a birth year when an account is created, and we do not knowingly allow anyone younger to play.
2. Your Child Can Talk to Strangers
Global Conflict has live chat, and the people in it are strangers. You should know this before anything else on this page. Players can write to each other in these places:
- Global chat, one room shared by every player in the game.
- Country chat, a room shared by players who set the same country.
- Profile walls, where any player can leave a comment on another player's profile.
- Clan chat, a room for the members of a clan.
How we keep it safe:
- Any message, profile comment, profile or clan can be reported from inside the game.
- Our staff can mute a player so they cannot post anywhere, suspend an account, or ban it.
- A player's email address, real name and birth year are never shown to other players. Only the username, and a country if they choose to set one, are public.
- Chat messages are deleted automatically after a short time rather than kept forever.
What no online game can promise: messages appear the moment they are sent, and no person reads them first. Your child may see something unpleasant before it is reported and removed. We recommend talking with your child about never sharing personal details, and about telling you when something someone writes upsets them.
Please report anything worrying straight away rather than waiting. A report keeps its own copy of what was written, so it stays with our staff even after the message itself has been deleted.
3. Spending
Global Conflict is free to download and free to play. It also offers optional in-app purchases: players can buy Gold, the game's premium currency, with real money. Gold can also be earned by playing, and so can everything else in the game (Cash and gear), so a player never has to spend money to take part.
How to stay in control of spending:
- In a mobile app, purchases go through the app store the game was installed from, such as Google Play. Use that store's parental controls (on Google Play, purchase authentication and Family Link) to require a password or your approval for every purchase.
- Refunds for purchases made through a store follow that store's refund policy.
Be wary of anyone, in the game or outside it, who offers to sell your child an account, currency or items. Buying or selling these outside the game's own store is against our Code of Conduct, and it is usually a scam.
4. Reporting a Player
Inside the game, use the report option on any chat message, profile comment, player profile or clan page, and choose a reason. You can also report a player to our staff in our Discord server.
What happens next: the report goes into a queue that our staff work through. It carries a copy of what was reported, so it can be judged even if the original has been deleted. Staff can warn, mute, suspend or ban the account depending on how serious it is, and every action they take is recorded in an audit log. We do not tell the person who reported what action was taken against another player's account.
If you believe a child is in danger, contact your local police first, then tell us.
5. Deleting an Account or Requesting Its Data
You can ask us to delete your child's account, or to send you a copy of the personal information we hold about it. Contact our support team (see Contacting Us below) and tell us the account's username and the profile ID shown on its profile, so that we can find it. A parent or guardian can do this on their own; you do not need your child's login.
Deletion is permanent and the progress on the account cannot be restored. If a child under 13 has an account, tell us and we will delete it. The Privacy Policy lists what we collect and how long we keep it.
6. Contacting Us
Our support options, including questions from parents, are listed under Support in the game's Settings and on this site's Support menu. You can always reach our staff in our Discord server; you do not need to play the game to join it and ask.
