What Clan Bosses are
Clan Bosses are bosses only clans can fight, on the CLAN BOSS tab of your clan screen. Your clan picks one each week and marches on it; every member who marched can then hit it. They are the only source of the Workshop's blueprints and parts. To fight one you need a clan; there is no level requirement.
The Clan Boss week
A Clan Boss week runs from Monday 12:00 UTC to the next Monday 12:00 UTC, and the tab counts down to the reset. Each week the same three bosses are up for every clan: one for each domain (Weapons, Ground and Air) and one at each difficulty (Easy, Medium and Hard). Nine bosses take turns in a three-week cycle, so each one comes back every third week:
| Cycle week | Name | Domain | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Balakliia Arsenal | Weapons | Easy |
| 1 | Panzer Lehr Division | Ground | Medium |
| 1 | Groom Lake | Air | Hard |
| 2 | Kummersdorf Proving Ground | Weapons | Medium |
| 2 | Maus | Ground | Hard |
| 2 | Henderson Field | Air | Easy |
| 3 | Peenemünde | Weapons | Hard |
| 3 | Tiger 131 | Ground | Easy |
| 3 | Tempelhof | Air | Medium |
The tab shows this week's three, each card with its domain, difficulty, March Pool and live HP. Tap a card, or its (i), for the boss's numbers and its drops.
Choosing a target
The Commander or an Officer chooses the week's target with TARGET. The choice is blind: no other clan can see which boss you picked. Until the March Pool fills, an officer can SWITCH to another boss, and the Energy already donated carries over. Switching to a boss whose pool that Energy already covers marches at once.
The March Pool
Each boss has a March Pool of Energy to fill, bigger for harder bosses. The pool's size is the same whatever your clan's size.
- Any member can donate any amount of Energy they have with DONATE ENERGY. A donation only takes what the pool still needs; you keep the rest.
- The march starts the moment the pool is full, whether one player filled it or ten.
- Everyone in the clan at that moment has marched, donors or not. Only they can hit the boss this week, and only they can earn its War Chests.
- One march a week. The choice holds until the reset. Each player also marches once a week: a marched member who leaves loses this week's march, and a player who joins a clan that has already marched watches the boss page as a spectator until the next week.
- A pool that never fills loses its Energy at the reset, with no refund.
Fighting a Clan Boss
Once your clan marches, the tab becomes the page of the boss you marched on. Tap HIT to attack it.
- Each hit costs 1 Ammo. There is no daily limit on hits.
- One HP bar for everyone. Every clan that marched on the same boss hits the same HP bar, so you are racing other clans for the kill.
- Your damage comes from your Attack against the boss's Armory DEF, and it varies a little from hit to hit. A hit always does at least 1 damage, but a boss whose DEF is too high for you takes only that 1.
- The boss bleeds you. Each hit takes a share of your Max HP, its Bleed, which varies a little each time. Below a quarter of your Max HP you cannot hit, so heal at the Medic and carry on.
- A hit pays XP, never Cash, and counts toward no tournament. Each hit counts toward the daily Clan Duty Task.
- The killing blow empties the bar. The boss is then DOWN until its Respawn time has passed, when it is back at full HP. A boss can fall several times in one week.
Each hit opens a result showing the damage you dealt, the bleed you took, the XP you earned and any drop, with buttons to heal and to hit again.
| Difficulty | HP | Armory DEF | Bleed | Respawn | March Pool |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Easy | 1,500,000 | 2,000 | 3% (2.4-3.6%) | 4 h | 80 Energy |
| Medium | 6,000,000 | 12,000 | 5% (4-6%) | 6 h | 160 Energy |
| Hard | 20,000,000 | 36,000 | 8% (6.4-9.6%) | 8 h | 240 Energy |
The boss page
- The log shows the newest hits, kills and respawns, live. Your own clan's hits name the player; another clan's hits name only the clan, which you can tap to see its page.
- Your damage this week and your clan's damage sit under the HP bar.
- The grid shows the boss's difficulty, Armory DEF, Bleed and Respawn, the kills this week and how many clans are hitting it.
There is no clan ranking on a boss: the race is for the kill, and only the clan that lands it is named.
Drops on every hit
Every hit that does real damage rolls once for a drop: a blueprint, a part or nothing. A hit held to 1 damage rolls nothing, and its result says the boss is too strong for you to hurt. A blueprint is from the boss's domain. A part is from the boss's domain 80% of the time and any other kind the rest. The odds rise with the difficulty:
| Difficulty | Blueprint a hit | Part a hit | War Chest parts | War Chest blueprint |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Easy | 0.6% | 6% | 3 | 10% |
| Medium | 1% | 8% | 5 | 25% |
| Hard | 1.5% | 10% | 8 | 50% |
| Difficulty | Common | Uncommon | Rare | Epic | Legendary |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Easy | 60% | 28% | 9% | 2.5% | 0.5% |
| Medium | 45% | 32% | 15% | 6% | 2% |
| Hard | 30% | 33% | 22% | 11% | 4% |
A drop lands in your Workshop. If your Workshop storage is full, a drop of something new is lost, and the hit result and your Log both say so. How storage works is in the Workshop guide.
War Chests
- Every kill gives every marched member of the killing clan one War Chest, whether they hit the boss or not. A clan that lands two kills earns two each. Other clans get none.
- A chest opens after the reset that ends its week, Monday 12:00 UTC, and then whenever you choose. Chests never expire and there is no limit to how many you hold.
- A chest holds the parts and blueprint chance in the table above, and its parts roll the same way as a hit's.
- Chests are yours. They sit in a strip on the CLAN BOSS tab and on the Workshop screen, so a member who leaves the clan keeps them. Opening one always lands its contents, even with your storage full.
Notifications
Clan Bosses can send three pushes, each with its own switch in your push settings: when your clan's march starts, when the boss you marched on is killed (and whether you earned a War Chest), and, for officers, when the week resets and it is time to choose again.
